Yum, yum, yum. I see garlic bulbs bulging out of your wooden crate. Local treasures: or maybe you don't have trouble buying garlic that doesn't come from China! This summer I harvested 11 bulbs of the 12 cloves I planted. Of course they're long gone and the only garlic I can find in the local markets (didn't check the farmer's markets - hope I didn't miss it all) and of course the supermarkets comes from China. That just doesn't seem right - I'm not talking bananas or papayas or ginger root or....
