Spending hours each day to pursue your passions and current interests.

Learning new skills and taking on new responsibilities while being given time to still be a child.

Designing and creating dolls. An interest you have not outgrown.

Researching fashion in a favored period of history.

Reading literature set in that time period. Studying under a master.

Teaching (and having the patience to do so) your siblings a new craft.

Growing up looks like ~ Freedom to be.

Just who you are. Becoming.

I love you Celine. Sharing this journey with you. Watching you grow into a young woman. Being your mother and getting to participate in this each and every day is the greatest privilege.

Where your journey takes you, I do not know. But I do know the joy is mine in watching it unfold.

Um, has Celine considered

Um, has Celine considered selling her dolls? There just might be a market for them.

Celine might really like this

Celine might really like this website. They produce historically accurate dolls and then provide a blurb on the history. They cover multiple historical periods and places, but hte dolls are amazing!

"Freedom to be. Who you are.

"Freedom to be. Who you are. Becoming." Oh yes, a beautiful unfolding and this freedom is the main reason why our girls are not in school.

Yes! A lovely way to sum up

Yes!
A lovely way to sum up the number one reason why we homeschool. Btw,my daughters (6.5 and almost 4) were mesmerized by the pictures of Celine's doll. Just throwing an idea out...but if Celine ever wants to post a little video tutorial on making dolls...I'm sure my little girls wouldn't be the only ones who would be inspired watching a "big girl" craft away. :)
Thanks, as always, for the inspiring post.

Wow, her work is wonderful -

Wow, her work is wonderful - and yes, as the others said, I also echo the sentiment that homeschooling offers time and freedom for our children to pursue their gifts. Our 16 year old son now has an Etsy shop and it has been so much fun to watch our 18 year old develop his abilities as both musician and actor.
Oh, I love how neat your embroidery thread is - mine is not!
Warm wishes,
Tonya

Isn't it interesting that as

Isn't it interesting that as we, the moms, are learning to love ourselves and Be who we are meant to Be, this is also what we hope to offer/impart to our children?

It is a great age. My middle daughter has just taken on a new challenge with her music and I am proud of her - for her courage and willingness to take risks in an area of personal passion.

Your box of embroidery floss

Your box of embroidery floss makes me smile. I have the same boxes of DMC Floss labeled exactly as yours are. I have toted them around with me for almost 20 years now. Oh, the stories they could tell. As simple as it seems, they are one of my greatest treasures. (Simplicity is what makes my small treasures great...)

Fabulous words.
They speak directly to my heart, I do think the same about my girls.
Thank you for expressing it.
