Homeschool Coaching Service

Thank you for your interest in my homeschool coaching.

I have over six years of homeschooling experience (not including our at-home preschool years), have done lots of reading about learning styles and educational philosophies, enjoy public speaking and homeschool Q&A, write for Simple Homeschool, and have a Bachelor's Degree in Education.

However, I believe with all my heart that you are the expert on your child.

My coaching services are to help you homeschool in your unique family situation. To encourage you in your own homeschool journey.

What you should know about me

I am passionate about home education. I love homeschooling my kids. I love talking about homeschooling, writing about homeschooling, and living an adventurous life together with my family. I want to encourage other families likewise.

Our own homeschool practice is an eclectic mix influenced by Charlotte Mason, unschooling, and Leadership Education. We are interest-led, family-focused, literature and experience based learners with Waldorf leanings. My homeschooling guidance and advice tends toward less formal instruction in the early years because of the freedom we have experienced homeschooling this way.

I want to help you to discover the joy in learning, living, and growing together. 

What I can offer you

Firstly, things I don't do:

  • research homeschool laws in your area and discuss legal issues - in and of themselves (I can help you with ideas of how to home educate according to your philosophy within the system you live in, but you have to be familiar with "the system")
  • tell you definitively what philosophy you should follow and curriculum to buy
  • offer guidance for junior high and high school years (13 years old and beyond) - haven't done those yet myself!

A few things I'd love to do for you:

  • help you figure out what your family's philosophy might be, and what homeschooling might look like based on that
  • suggest curriculum, resource and everyday learning ideas based on your philosophy
  • offer general ideas, personal experience, and inspiration for frustrations and problems you may be facing in the elementary years
  • help you get organized - in your home and time management - to meet your homeschooling goals

Cost

My fee for a one hour coaching session is $50, due before the coaching session. 

There are no money-back guarantees or refunds, but if I feel your concerns, questions or issues are over my head I will not accept the consultation. I seriously want to help you homeschool, not take your money.

I am unable at this time to accept barter arrangements for homeschool coaching.
