Milkweed - not our photo The first thing I want to start with is going to be Monarchs. Because they're the best ones to hatch from the chrysalis. First, you have to take milkweed and a stick and put it in a jar with cheesecloth on the top, elastic banded on, or a lid with nailed holes in it. Put the monarch caterpillar in the jar. And then put the lid on or cheesecloth.

Beautiful creatures
Laurent, Crunchy and Munchy were beautiful caterpillars, so no wonder they turned into such pretty butterflies. Yesterday I saw a white furry caterpillar rolled up in a blueberry bush leaf - I wonder what kind that was?
