This morning I finished processing all the photos from our recent trip to Nova Scotia. There is a ridiculous amount of photos in this post (my mom will probably be the only one who gets to the end of of it.)

Oh well. One of FIMBY's purposes is for me to tell the story of our family life. You know... the Fun in My (broad) Back Yard. So hang tight if ocean themed travel photos aren't your gig. I've got some good homeschool and seasonal posts coming your way in the next couple weeks. But for now I'm reminiscing about our trip. Won't you join me?

Day One: Morning walk at Sand Dollar beach with Nana. In the afternoon Papa buys a boat. Not all days were quite so busy thank goodness.

Day Two: At home with an afternoon trip to the local swimming hole for rope swinging.

Day Three: Morning at the market in Lunenburg and an afternoon trip to Hirtle's Beach.

drive-by shooting of the seascape
Day Four: Trip to town, time at home and an evening outing to the Mahone Bay Scarecrow Festival and Pumpkin Fest.

It was a great trip. Thanks for letting me share my mini photo album with you. (Perhaps I should approach Nova Scotia tourism about freelance work - ha, ha).

That is how most of my posts are...picture heavy. I just love sharing them though...what's the point of taking hundreds if you only share one or two? :0) I love all the pictures, they really do evoke a mood....calm, serene, quiet, beautiful and peaceful.

Beautiful photos! The pumpkin fest must have been so much fun. It's amazing how detailed people can make their pumkin carvings. I'm glad I can get away with painting ours with the kiddos :0)

It looks so much like the beaches here in the Pacific NW! I'm totally jealous of your boat time. My family had one when my siblings and I were little. It makes me nostalgic. Looks like a wonderful trip!

I love that they appear as a series of photos with grey tones, punched with color! You look so like a blend of your parents!

That's an interesting observation Nicola. It was quite grey and foggy (and humid) during our trip with some blue sky days. And as my parents live on a coastal river it could be a blue sky day at their home but 10 minutes away, at the ocean's edge was blanketed with fog.
