(FIMBY's Best Of) Sewing & Crafts

Ours is a fairly creative household. Someone is always either writing, drawing, taking photos, sewing, or building (or in the planning stages of one of these activities). Not to mention the everyday creativity of cooking, computer programming and lego.

Though sewing, drawing, and photography are a few of the daily activities around here, on occasion you'll find us carving, sculpting or felting.

Brienne crafting

This page features how-to (or tutorial) craft and sewing projects that we've written about at FIMBY or our family adventure blog. These posts have ideas and instructions (or link to places with ideas and instruction), often very easy and not requiring specialized skills, to get you moving in your own creative groove.

In the spring of 2012 I published my first e-book ~ Nurturing Creativity: A Guide for Busy Moms.

Nurturing Creativity is about embracing the seasons of motherhood and appreciating where you are, while helping you to make creativity a priority in your life. It will encourage you to let go of perfection, to start small, and to find inspiration in everyday living. This little book will challenge you to make the most of the time you do have. Time you can spend creating beauty and meaning - with your head, heart, and hands.
