October 9, 2009
The first week of October is coming to a close and I'm feeling good, really good. Happy. September was a bit tumultuous (always is) as we shifted from summer into fall. But now that I'm firmly rooted in Autumn I feel like I've found my groove and I can enjoy the season.
I'm finding my way with the kid's reading, writing & 'rithmatic, I've completed some indoor decorating projects and I've got more on the go (my creative juices are flowing). We're drinking apple cider, munching fresh apples and enjoying homemade applesauce. Cream of farm broccoli & potato soup is on for supper and the kids and I are making party plans.
The days have a steady rhythm & routine. Our afternoon at the farm yesterday was wonderful and we scrapped both drawing lessons and mommy's writing to spend just a wee bit longer enjoying the hay loft, the apple orchard and tire swing.
It was wonderful. Fall is wonderful and life is good.
I agree with Kyndale and though I'm sure you've been told many times, you are a very talented Photographer. Thanks for sharing your work. Happy Friday!
You're an artist! Thanks for showcasing the beauty of the season for us.

You're right Nicola, though I hadn't thought of it that way. After the busyness of August and the transition of Sept I feel much more relaxed and enjoying the moments, the days, the season. Ah....
Hey, if you ever travel out this way we have a futon bed!
tempting! i have been to a lot of states, but maine isn't one of them, which somehow seems simply WRONG. nicola http://whichname.blogspot.com
